Occupational Therapist
Tara has been with Symmetry Injury Rehab since 2008. When she joined us she also brought with her over 8 years of experience as a Community-Based Occupational Therapist as well as experience providing OT services in a clinical setting. Tara obtained her Bachelor of Physical Activity Studies (Recreation Therapy) from the University of Regina (1998), and her BScOT from UBC (2002). She has completed multiple courses in cognitive assessment and rehabilitation as well as training for the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) and the Multiple Errands Test (MET).
Tara specializes in Case Management, Home Safety / Support Assessments, Home Modifications / Environmental Assessments and Consultation, Coordination of RA Programs, Coordination of Hospital Discharge, Job Demands Analysis, Return to Work Intervention, Community Re-integration, Stress and Pain Management, and Cognitive Rehabilitation. Tara’s recreational interests include camping, hiking, and swimming. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids.
