Yidi received his Bachelor of Science Honour in Molecular Genetics as well as his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) from the University of Alberta. He has completed additional training in cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, and is in the process of completing his certification for the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OPTM) Approach.
Yidi has a variety of experience working in hospital acute care in areas such as general medicine, acute stroke, orthopedic injury and geriatrics. Yidi has worked as a community OT providing rehab for ICBC clients and those with addiction and mental health issues. His clinical training has focused on cognitive assessment, functional assessment, hospital discharge assessment with equipment recommendations, clinical case management, general physical rehabilitation, and psychosocial rehabilitation with a focus on life skill development.
Yidi has a special interest in geriatrics, cognitive function, chronic pain and acquired brain injury. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Yidi enjoys trying out new food places, cooking, and going to the gym in his free time.
